Prospects for a Lasallian Education

Abstract

Lasallian education, as a comprehensive education inspired by the Gospel values, now faces unprecedented challenges. Educating for life nowadays entails much more than recovering a rich educational and ecclesial tradition; rather, it requires a profound reflection on the pressing needs of the different local and global contexts that demand to be taken into consideration. Issues such as our role in and for the world, human rights, the processes of inclusion and critical education, among other things, should be part of the Lasallian education agenda for the coming years, as outlined in this text.
