Abstract

This paper is about an analysis on the existence of present man, immersed in capitalism, and his relation with the human suffering, a way of life that he has contributed to build and keep searching for a hedonism that makes himself forgets as a suffering being. Given his responsibility in the come to being of such socio economic system, the outlining here presented is an invitation to thinking man in the approximated search for truth in himself and of his being – in - the world, in a heideggerian way. In such way, this paper tries to make clear the status that man has in the present times, in the capitalistic world, where it is required to take responsibility for himself and for the others. For such purpose the biography of Vincent Van Giogh is used as an example of a man who decided to live in accordance to his passion, in humbleness and away from all capitalistic system. A man who achieved to reach the realism of poverty and human goodness, and that paid for such accomplishments, who resisted the cost of being different, and who, for being far from all capitalis was labeled with the tag of madness, in which essence a great knowledge was covered.
