Poetry and philosophy: Borders of truth and knowledge

Abstract

The borders between poetry and philosophy have existed from old ages. The efforts made by the rationalist philosophers to close those borders were never successful. On the contrary, modern imagination weaved the differences and refined a debate that today seems to come slowly but shaken to its end. This article deals with this quarrel, how it was historically posed, and how truth and knowledge find sense in the creative fusion between them, and not in their logic exclusion.
