Abstract
This article makes an analysis of the “State of Nature” category in John Locke’s philosophy. The analysis studies the second chapter of “The Second Treatise of Civil Government”, published by Locke in 1690. For that analysis the author considered the following characteristics as part of the man’s state of nature such as freedom, equality, life and the relation with God. Also the primordial and foundational activity in the state of nature, that is, the economic activity that from labour leads to property and the rising of market, is analyzed.
