Abstract
This paper presents an approach to the transdisciplinary links between the work of Jorge Luis Borges and some of the most innovative emerging scientific theories of the twentieth century, causing major epistemological ruptures in the past century, which has resulted an expansion of the horizon of the scientific paradigm beyond the limits of modern rationality. In this case, we are particularly interested in the so-called theory of parallel worlds by Hugh Everett III and others, originated in the field of quantum physics and some of the related concerns, such as the existence of doors or passages between different space-time dimensions. Although this perspective has already been addressed by several authors and researchers from different disciplines, the proposal is to visit and add to the discussion certain parts of the work of Jorge Luis Borges that have not been cited quite as often and which have remained unexplored in this regard.
