Abstract
This paper describes the converging processes in the culturalconstruction of time in young university students. For that purpose,the conceptual contributions of time as a social constructionand temporal imaginary in Modernity are articulated withobservations, biographies and autobiographies of young studentsfrom two public universities in Mexico City. This analysis is partof an ongoing ethnographic research, the main goal of which isto interpret the temporal construction and projection of youngstudents, based on the consideration of the processes that structuretheir experiences in the contemporary present.
