Abstract

The article vindicates the need for a greater North-South and South-South cooperation in the field of veterinary public health, at the university level. It also demonstrates the need for an interdisciplinary academic culture, more focused in training public health professionals capable of collaborating effectively with other professionals; this will not only encourage but also facilitate quality decision-making in the field of public health prevention.
