Bogotá, City Region

Abstract

The nation’s capital is a clear example that the transformations and actions occurring in it have a side effect on the rest of the cities, towns and municipalities in Colombia, especially on nearby regions. At the same time they create a strong relationship with the dynamics of the city, they also generate small activities at an internal level that separates them, reducing at a certain point the need for mobilization of the whole population. This phenomenon is likely to be analyzed from several points of view, from the spatial and urban, to the administrative and managerial.
