Between Reality and the Challenge of Practice in Social Responsibility

Abstract

This paper assesses the impact of social responsibility practices by students between 2008 and 2010 at Uniminuto, Bello. It also specifies the achievements and lessons learned by students about social responsibility, describes the changes referred to by the people jointly responsible regarding the objectives of the projects implemented by students, and identifies the aspects of sustainability in light of the installed capacity in organizations. A purposive sampling of two hundred students was carried out, to whom a structured survey was applied; fifteen representatives of the practice fields were surveyed, and a semi-structured interview was applied to six teachers of the regular course of Practice in Social Responsibility. In short, there is more evidence of the learning and achievements of students than of changes generated in organizations and communities as a result of said practice.
