Hegelian considerations regarding that which is public and private

Abstract

The purpose of this essay is to outline some refl ections on the relationship that could be established between the public and private spheres as studied from the point of view of Hegel. It focuses on the paradigmatic case of Greek culture, a fundamental column of our western culture. The essay tries to answer the following question: How are individual invariable rights integrated with the equally invariable rights of the community in which he lives?
