Abstract
The Tocqueville’s political thought is nowadays too relevant due to the fact of having established the theoretical basis for a deep reflection about the democratic State and the future of freedom and equity within the capitalist modern society. His reflections are nowadays very useful in sight of the international great capital owners’ continuous efforts to reshape democratic theory through authoritarian outlined measures. As one of the research outcomes, the following paper appears to expose Alexis De Tocqueville’s concept of democracy related to the principles of citizenship’s equity and freedom, taken as political ideals which modernity brings about.
