Abstract
The politics and market approaches, as well as innovation, have caused productivity and competitiveness to become the essential requirements for access to world markets. It is about seeking the necessary profits to achieve scenarios of productive growth or of resources to finance the economy and development of societies. Such are the principles on which companies and nations, from macroeconomic and microeconomic policies, have based their actions, their strategic decisions to compete in global markets, where knowledge and innovation are the indispensable passport to competitiveness. The urgency for innovation must be accompanied by innovative spaces, the generation of public policies, the social consensus that allow permanently changing the system to allow their growth, their rise to increasingly larger and better spaces for development. This article aims to raise the discussion on innovation and the urgency for innovative environments that enable the generation of productive activities of added value and employment.
