Abstract
In order to pursue a more in-depth study of the urban development in Bogota, it is essential to look at the city’s historical context, particularly during the Independence, as we are now celebrating the bicentennial. For this reason, this article aims to give an account of an approach to the study of each building that existed in the city, so as to identify the use of space in the city, their quality, the cost of each property, the zoning system that was established in Santa Fe based on the new neighborhoods and the life standards of the people who lived in the different urban spaces.
