Social Justice in Reconciliation: A Pathway to the Positive Transformation of Conflict

Abstract

This paper addresses reconciliation as a process that goes beyond forgive-ness. Reconciliation is developed when the people involved in the conflict reach a positive relationship. An episode of the conflict that turns into a value and lifestyle; a value that rescues justice in the social order, referring to the fundamental notions of equality and human rights. A situation of justice that is essential for individuals to develop their skills and to be able to install a lasting peace in society by cultivating the value of reconciliation.
