International Trends in Archival Training

Abstract

The article examines the evolution of international trends in archival training; to this effect, it uses the periodization established by Carol Couture in a 2011 study, where she identifies three stages ranging from 1821 to 2000. Furthermore, the article discusses the need for interdisciplinarity in the training process in this branch of information science, due to the influence of information technology and communication on archival theory and practice
