Using Image as a Didactic Element in User Training

Abstract

This article addresses the use of image as a didactic element in the user training processes developed by the public library, specifi cally in the range between the ages of 5 and 7. In this sense, the research started from two basic concepts: the user training program and its connection to the use of image as a didactic element in a teachinglearning space, “the public library”. First of all, the paper proposes a number of conceptual clarifi cations and articulation links related to the user training, didactic and image processes; then, an account of the methodology implemented in the development of the research is made, which helped to identify the emerging reality around the practices implemented in the user training programs and the role of image and didactics in teaching-learning spaces; and, fi nally, the outcome of the research is established, in relation to image as didactic element and an articulating axis in the design of user training programs
