Preliminary evaluation model for industrialized construction systems of middle-income housing for implementation in Colombian context

Abstract

The research presents a qualitative report according clasification patterns in industrialized building systems in the next countries: Chile, Argentina, Spain, Colombia and, Brazil. This research was based on analysis categories: technicals, about context, production, viability and factibility. As far the procedure and the sample, researchers visited eight (8) construction projects in Colombia which were designed for vulnerable human population and where it was used high technology and not conventional materials for industrializated system buildings. About the reaches of this project, it proposes a preliminar evaluation pattern applying to industrializated system buildings designed for people with low quality of life. Finally, this reasearch pretends to contribute to the construction systems filed in Colombia, in terms of influencing institutions who makes decisions about the management of dwelling projects for vulnerable people and, about the use of not convencional materials and their adaptations to our context in this sort of projects.
