Analysis as a Tool for Architectural Composition
Traza

Abstract

Analysis is an integral part of the analog method of composition. In this regard, analysis is defined in this article as the way to induce general rules of an architectural object in relation to a topic (siting). This method is a deductive tool that separates objects into its constituent parts and elements. Using the matrix that systematizes the results, a project hypothesis is proposed, which becomes a learning tool, and, by using analogy as a means, a transfer to a new composition—that is, a new project—occurs.
