Abstract
This article focuses in systematization of experiences, conceived as a way to extract and make communicable the knowledge that takes place in projects that try to transform reality. Initially, the conceptual and epistemological bases that support this proposal are developed. Next, the specificity of its object of knowledge –the experience–, the type of knowledge that takes place and of the people who build it are discussed. The theoretical references include authors who have developed ideas about practical knowledge, professionals of action and reflexive practitioners. The epistemological basis of this conception are synthesized in: the unity between the subject and object of knowledge; and the unity between who knows and who acts. This basis question the traditional distances between rational-objective and affective-subjective dimensions. Challenges and new perspectives are posed, as well as possibilities of dialogue with other ways of producing knowledge, mainly investigation and evaluation.
