A Look at the Citizenship Status of Youth in Latin America. Latest Studies and Debates

Abstract

In this paper we present a brief status of youth studies in order to address some of the problems that have arisen around the definitions of citizenship of youth. We have noticed that there is a wide dispersion and little agreement on the design of this statute. This encourages us to reflect on the fact that we are facing a collective subject that historically has been taking shape across different generations, but which been little addressed. It is therefore necessary to systematize these studies in order to understand and analyze it from a multidisciplinary perspective.
