Reasons to Think of Ourselves as Lasallian Women
IM-Pertinente

Abstract

This paper presents a brief analysis of the subordinate position into which women have been forced by dominant discourses throughout history. We start by analyzing how the constructed idea of the female body has contributed to this subordination. A brief description is made of how family, work and education have affected this position, particularly in our country. Then, we will reflect on how such discourses have intervened in our experience and constitution as women. Finally, we will present the corresponding conclusions and proposals aimed at meeting the challenges that Lasallian education processes must face in order to answer the key question of the essay.
