The Charm within Objetual Disenchantment: A Look at Jacques Tati’s Work, Mon Oncle

Abstract

The development of humanity, based on the increase of objects that make life easier, has hindred people’s actions. Living with nice aesthetics does not alway mean living comfortably. Tati’s work is a resource for recognizing the contrasting situations of everyday life in terms of objetual charm and the disenchantment of its use. On the other hand, it shows, in an impressive manner, the usual circumstances of the human being as a being that lives naturally with what they really need.
