Information and self-legitimation: the instruments of social responsibility in the companies of public services de Bogotá

Abstract

The present document analyzes the process of diffusion of the main tools in the development of the social organizational responsibility, in the companies of public services in Bogotá, which have been subjected to deep changes during the last two decades. Although the revision of the international literature presents these developments (Global Compact, GRI, ISO 9000, ISO 14001, good government’s codes, etc.) as strategic changes that can improve the relationship of the company with the community. The document outlines that, in the case of the analyzed entities, such instruments can be being assumed as mechanisms of self-legitimation and/or of investment of the organization, with what the social responsibility is limited to the investment groups.
