Abstract
Territories are defined by different dynamics marked by organizations operating in the economic, social, cultural and environmental systems. From this perspective, the elements of Aquitania are analyzed in order to successfully face market and territory tensions, using the articulation between sectors and territories (verticality/horizontality) as structure of analysis. The methodological scope of this research is exploratory, in the sense that it is the first exercise in which “the path of analysis” is being applied and validated. The agro-economic system described in Aquitania has the nature of transactions between the strategic agents of the chain. With an influence on transaction costs, phenomena such as opportunism do not make a dent in the use of verbal contracts, which are based on trust. This prevents uncertainty from stopping producers’ intention of continuing with the accumulation of artificial economic capital, created by men and reinvested on their territory. In short, the spatial dimension defined by the cultivation of green onions (Allium fistulosum) constitutes a landmark in the development of Boyaca’s territory and allows the sustenance of a long-term economic projection
