Abstract
The work relates the details of an experiment about the effect of fibers on the mechanical characteristics of concrete. This technology can be applied in the manufacture of ultra thin white toppings. Samples of high resistance concrete were used with R · bk 40 MPa. Furthermore, different types and sizes of fibers, like long and short polypropylene, plastic and metallic structural fibers, were used. Their effects were determined by testing the compression, flexibility, and traction strengths, as well as retraction effects and effects on the rheology of the samples
