Abstract
The prospect of mobility in Colombia, and even more the scenario in which projected the city of Bogota D.C., focuses on the worldwide trend towards the sustainable mobility. The effects of the trend to use of public mass transport have socio-economic consequences. In the social field, the proper functioning of the new era of public transport (seen in the future scenario posed by the District to SITP) will require a commitment of civic culture, that although it has been taking its first steps along 9 years of life Transmilenio, it lacks a long way to cover. On the other hand, the user’s information systems, either mass or collective, will influence on the quality of the system by reducing the time spent on the trip or tour schedule (especially if transfer) and status passenger comfort. Additionally, the clarity of information will result in economic benefits associated with the tourism sector, especially in cities with large volume of visitors as in the case of Bogota D.C.
