Abstract

This paper presents the results obtained according to a comparison between the hydraulic capacities of ditches designed using Chezy-Manning and Darcy-Weisbach equations. For this purpose, efficiency and hydraulic performance of triangular-shaped ditches were determined using these two mathematical expressions in a physical model. This allowed to determine the criteria and tools for the design of an optimal structure, meeting the parameters required by existing regulations
