Abstract
This article seeks to make contributions to the consolidation of the political and ethical stance of the Social Workers about violence against women and children. In this way, I take aspects relating to the ethical and political dimension of social work, the contributions from feminism as theory and movement, expose for showing violence against women as a public and social problem. Then I present how I think these elements contribute to the fundamentation of Social Work`s relationship to human rights and ethical and political sense for the generation processes of change and social transformation toward a more democratic and equitable society
