Associativity in the Production Dynamics of the Municipality of El Yopal, Casanare

Abstract

In this paper, by analyzing the agricultural production problem casanareños farmers live, immersed in the national and the Latin American context, the goal is to establish common general indicators that characterize this activity in the region. Considering the endogenous development principles required for the construction of a new rurality that allows the empowerment of productive actors, development plans and agendas of competitiveness are specifically analyzed in the public policy guidelines, as well as the importance given to associativity as dynamic mechanism for the inclusion of small and medium producers into local production strategies. By studying the performance of supply chains and the role that is given to associativity in this process, the achieved progress and generated expectations regarding the development of other non-traditional agricultural products that can be boosted to make of agriculture a sustainable, profitable and socially productive activity are established.
