Abstract
The current socio-economic situation in Colombia is reflected by the noticeable growth of the solidarity sector, consolidated as a business model that benefits a large sector of the Colombian population. It is worth noting that these associative forms have gained importance in rural zones, but that they lack the required promotion and strengthening to develop any further. As a result, this paper evaluates the administrative management of these organizations, based on the characterization of the associative forms, formal and informal, of small producers in the manufacturing, transformation and service contexts in the food system’s subsectors in the Tabio Municipality (Cundinamarca). This paper aims to contribute with the rural development objective proposed by the Government, looking to strengthen and create companies, decrease poverty levels and increase competitiveness between municipalities. This is why it is important to get the university involved, so that it will become a supporting and present agent in these sectors, which have been neglected in some way or another
