Approach to Entrepreneurship from a Perspective of Innovation: The Case of SME in Bogota, D.C.

Abstract

This article talks about entrepreneurship, creativity, innovation and competitiveness as fundamental components to support the emergence of new, sustainable proposals. Based on a general, theoretical basis, this paper presents the arguments of several authors who agree on the need to use these four elements as a satisfier generation source, both in people and the organizations administrated by them, on a global level. In this sense, and with the purpose of identifying the dynamics and organizational relations of such components —particularly in the SME sector—, a complementary analysis is made of the results of a case study, where the relevance of certain entrepreneur factors such as experience, age, education level and training in market-related aspects is identified, seeking results that make it possible to suggest actions related to the initially suggested components
