Abstract

Lean Manufacturing is a management philosophy focused on reduction of the 7 ‘waste’ types in processes, by promoting quality improvements and reduced costs and production time. The aim of this paper is gathering relevant information about the Lean Manufacturing management model, and introduces a brief history, features, tools, and key concepts, frequent mistakes in the implementation process, new supplier-customer relationships, and finally some strategies for implementation
