Social Business Responsibility: Voluntary Commitment to Improve Labor and Environmental Settings

Abstract

Implicit as a voluntary contribution from a business in order to improve social, economic and environmental settings either internally or externally, today Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become a typical topic. For the application we must take into account the social reality and environmental degradation, which requires critical commitments. For this purpose we present the Colombian case of Gran Estación Mall in Bogotá which puts together a number of pioneering principles that enables you to discover and develop some valuable resources, providing people high quality standards and offering value to every stakeholder which this organization on a regular basis is interacting with. Specifically it is worth remarking its recruitment policy since with it the organization openly favors disabled people and single mothers.
