The University Social Responsibility and its Relevance to Strength the Institutions

Abstract

This article discusses the issue of university social responsibility and analyzes its importance and impact on Higher Education institutions’ life. For that, “Social Responsibility” concept will be mentioned in general terms, and the “Social University Responsibility” is to be emphasized. This article outlines a University Social Responsibility model and framework that has already been applied in some other academic contexts, particularly Latin American context; and finally offers several suggestions and implications of this issue towards the strengthening of these institutions.
