Abstract

This article presents the advances on the design of semi active foot prosthesis, with new materials to make it more functional, ergonomic and economic than those currently existing in the Colombian market. The design and modeling of a foot with electronic control of open knot has been developed looking for a better adaptability for the user. The design of a cushioning system with Nithinol wires, or with memory shape materials was created to damp the foot in its normal movement when walking
