Diagnosis of thermoelectric plants in colombia and evaluation of technological alternatives in the fulfillment of the emission of fixe d sources regulation

Abstract

This project is based on the diagnosis of atmospheric emissions produced by fixed sources in thermoelectric plants in Colombia. It evaluates the fulfillment of the current regulation (Decree 02 of 1982) and the regulation proposal of polluting atmospheric emissions by the Ministry of Environment, Housing and Territorial Development. Our goal is to quantify the typical atmospheric pollutants in this sector, to propose solutions to fulfill the regulations and to decrease the possible environmental impact on the area surrounding the thermoelectric plants by applying preventive and corrective methods or alternatives according to the sector needs and to environmental requirements
