Weathering effects on humidity retention properties in two residual soils derived from granodiorite

Abstract

This article presents the results of an experimental research focused to understand the weathering effects on humidity retention properties of residual and saprolitic soils from granodiorite in the Colombian central range. It was observed that the suction – humidity relationship strongly depends on material factory. These results are relevant to the understanding of rainfall infiltration process on weathered slopes
