Abstract
The need to travel is a requirement that must be addressed under principles of accessibility, transportation and culture to ensure its sustainability. However, because of the mobility concepts associated with motorized transport means and the effects of consumer culture has led to an unsustainable mobility. Under this scenario, cities like Bogotá must manage greater accessibility through virtuality/proximity and the development of sustainable mobility supported by cultural changes. Among those options, the bike is a viable alternative but under constant threat
