Stiffness assessment for beam-column joints in bamboo fiber Angustifolia

Abstract

The values of bending stiffness of a connection between two elements built with bamboo fiber Angustifolia are reported in this paper. Fifteencolumn-beam connections at real scale were built and tested under static loading and unloading cycles. The Moment-slope curves were plotted since experimental data, for anyone of the samples, and the stiffness of connection was determined such as the slope of these figures. Beside, three frames with two levels and one bay were tested under horizontal loads applied at second floor. Experimental results were used for fit a mathematical model built using matrix analysis software
