Abstract

This article lists the general activities to be carried out for the full design of an electrical substation, based on the regulatory framework established by current international standards. It also follows a series of security, reliability, operation and economic criteria that must be taken into account when performing such activities. The suggested procedure may be modified depending on the type and function of the designed substation, as all the steps are necessary and must be managed by a multidisciplinary group of professionals
