Design of a Network Model for Routing Light Duty Vehicles for Distribution of Securities

Abstract

The most important thing for clients in the field of transportation of securities is safety. Ensuring the quality of security is a responsibility even after providing the service. Therefore, thinking on atomization of the risk, and aiming to maintain absolute discretion, a suggestion was made to use lightweight fleets for distributing money instead of armored vehicles. In order to implement this model, it was necessary to evaluate the amount of the number of routes to be done with the light fleet (motorcycles), and considering operational constraints resulting from limitations of the vehicle or from security policies. A model was designed through integer linear programming, which determines the optimal choice for each point of delivery of securities
