Public Libraries in Bogotá (Colombia): A Look from the Individual Assessment of Citizens

Abstract

The article interprets the social representation of the public library institution built by the common citizen in Bogota (Colombia), based on individual assessment. The resulting categories in the research refer to who the users that attend or should attend these libraries should be, what generates the appreciation of public libraries and how they have affected the personal life of these citizens
