Abstract
Fish farming is an efficient means to produce high-quality food, involving the interaction between water and sediment; therefore, the inadequate management of any of the two elements can jeopardize the survival and growth of harvested species. It is important to characterize the sediment of fish farming reservoirs and determine specific parameters such as the concentration of organic matter, pH, macro and micronutrients, in order to define a sustainable management for the adequate disposal, use and management of sediments produced by fish farming.
