Abstract
The phenomenon of forced displacement in Colombia has been one of the most complex consequences that armed conflict has had on human and animal populations, both in the city and the countryside. This fact has changed social, political, economic and cultural structures due to the severe impact generated by the shock between the population object of displacement and the host population. As a result, in Colombia several situations of injustice, poverty and inequality in the distribution of resources have aroused affecting the life, integrity and health of both people and animals. This paper explores some of the health, housing, food safety and sanitation conditions to which displaced population is exposed and that makes them more vulnerable to suffer zoonoses, likewise analyzes the role that veterinarians should play in this problem.
