Abstract
This article outlines some reflections on social work training, starting with the identification of the internal and external conditions that influence on its restatement. To undertake this objective, human development, the contemporary conceptions of the profession, its ethical foundation, the processes to construct knowledge and the changes on professional exercises, are taking as references. This article deals with the new professional profile tendencies and the pedagogical proposal on training. Conclusion focus on the emphasis of some challenges that from the training units must be reinforced on professional identity, ethical disciplinary fields of training, teaching-learning methodologies, emphasis on research and setting up of groups; as well as, on the increase on teachers qualification and the necessary program design to promote mobility.
