Insights and believings associated with new information and communication technologies in the educational community of the Universidad de La Salle: A CTS approach

Abstract

The research that was developed over a year and a half, referred to the attitudes and believes that emerged in the Salle University in referral to the New information Technologies. This Project was part of a systematic reflection that has been developed over the last fifty years, with an emphasis on inter and transdicisplinary science and technology. These studies are known actually in several institutions as the STS, Science, technology and society studies. In our context these studies have been recognized in institutions such as UNESCO and the Organization of Iberomerican States (OEI), among others. This article shows the main conceptual elements of the present research, and at the same time the methodology that was used and the main arguments that were discussed. These hopping that it may be useful for the comprehension and reflections of the role towards the CIT (Communication and Information technologies) and their use in the university context.
