A reflective glance to the conceptual meaning of the professional intervention in Social Work

Abstract

This article sets out some analytical reflections around the debates on the understanding of the conceptual meaning of professional intervention in the Social Work, constructed in the space of academic debate of the permanent seminary of the program of the Social Work the University Foundation Monserrate, in Bogotà, Colombia, from the use of the concept in the speeches, and from the professional practices. It constitutes a way to unravel the meaning of the intervention notion, to need to what we talked about and the professionals of the Social Work with the intervention notion and at the same time to generate theoretical, epistemological and methodologic elements that lead to rethink the conceptual implications; as well as the intentionalities of the action and the bonds with associated terms to intervention, such as: professional action, action and social practice. It contributes to think the intervention and to analyze it like professional production, which leads to locate the reflection, within the framework of a built the framework for complex of social relations and from an integrating glance of the components, to journey by these ways and to try to advance in the analysis that it implies the concept of professional intervention.
