Abstract
During recent decades, there have been several movements in the intricate capitalist system: social, cultural, economic, politic and gender movements, among others, bringing together different factors in which families have been included. From the complexities of two units: family-company, and a systematic vision, the present article aims to evidence the changes and persistence of families —from a social and economic point of view— in the organizational symbiosis –family companies, especially as a survival option for those least favored or in poverty, highlighting the importance of entrepreneurship and family companies as a development tool, within the rights and gender perspective.
